Amadou Haidara has been ruled out of the upcoming match against FC Barcelona on Sunday due to an injury sustained in training.
The Senegalese striker was involved in a collision with another player during practice and suffered a knee ligament injury. The club has confirmed that he will be sidelined for several weeks while undergoing rehabilitation.
Haidara had been one of RB Leipzig's key players this season, scoring 12 goals in 24 appearances. He is expected to return to action as soon as his recovery is complete.
RB Leipzig manager Hans-Dieter Flick expressed disappointment with the injury but praised Haidara's professionalism in dealing with the situation. "He showed great courage and maturity in handling the news," he said.
