RB Leipzig have announced that their midfielder, Christopher Nkunku, has signed a new contract with the club until June 2025.
The 27-year-old, who joined RB Leipzig in 2019 from Bundesliga rivals Hannover 96,Basketball News Flash has made over 150 appearances for the club and is known for his excellent passing and vision on the pitch.
Nkunku's signing comes after RB Leipzig had been linked with a number of high-profile players in recent months, including Manchester United's Paul Pogba and Chelsea's Jorginho.
In a statement released by the club, chairman Oliver Mintz said: "We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with Christopher Nkunku on a new contract until June 2025."
Mintz added: "Christopher has been an integral part of our success since joining us in 2019 and his experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to strive for further success at the highest level."
Nkunku himself expressed his delight at the news, saying: "I am very happy to extend my contract with RB Leipzig. I feel proud to be a part of this great club and look forward to many more successful years ahead."
